Arabelle : Tarvyd's partner and most trusted friend, some might say his true soul mate. She has been living in a cottage on the Dauzet's property for the past 20 years.

She knows her place in the dynamic of the family. Throughout her stay with the Dauzets, she has been a role model for some of the children; Tofer, while in his youth and now Diem. Lorelei, however, has never liked or trusted her and now Arabelle is at the mercy of the unhinged widow.

The Professor loved Arabelle and she loved him. They lived side by side as colleagues for over 40 years and now she suffers alone in his absence. A highly intelligent and delicate woman, she takes his death the hardest and is almost too upset to keep fighting to finish their work and to protect her future, which is now unsure.
